HELLO EVERYONE!

So, apologies for the lack of updates recently, I have been MANIC with university deadlines and work.

I have some exciting updates in the pipeline, and a WHOLE backlog of work to upload onto here, as well as a general 're-snazz' of the blog to come!

I am leaving the comfortable grasp of university deadlines and support and entering the world of freelance and self-publishing as a newborn, graduate illustrator!

Please bare with me whilst my life moves from one mile stone to another, I'm very excited, apprehensive and cool as a cucumber, all at the same time!

I hope everyone had a beautiful Easter, and keep your eyes peeled for FAR MORE consistant posting and a whole new look for this blog!

Organ Donation Poster

Hello everyone!

Happy Valentines Day!

So, at the moment there is a huge campaign from the NHS to get people on the Organ and Tissue Donor register. At uni, we were approached by two representatives as part of a project, and were asked to all create a piece of artwork each to promote the campaign.

Here is my piece, it's functional poster that could be used and put up all over the place. It is non denominational which was part of the criteria and contains simple info graphics.

Now, this is no where near my usual style and although it's not something I'm into, I'm very pleased with the look of it and think I could learn a bit more about info graphics and producing it for my freelance career as it seems like a mandatory skill to have as a creative freelancer.

That's just my opinion!

The poster is A1 in size and available to buy on request if you would like a print.

Will be waiting to hear feedback from the Queen Alexandra Hospital in Portsmouth to see if it gets picked. There have been some amazing entries so good luck to everyone!

UPDATE!

Hi all!

Apologies for the lack of updating recently. As I've said before, I will be able to start blogging more regularly once I'm finished with university as I'll have much more time on my hands to create work to sell and exhibit, and real projects to work on! I cannot wait.

So just to keep you going, here is a little snippet of my (A3) sketchbook work. I have a love of work I need to do, hence why I am getting my head down until May, when I can surface for some air and regain some sanity!

Trying not to be my own worst enemy when creating images, although I've had to admit I've really been putting myself off drawing and doing the whole 'everything I do is rubbish at the moment' thing, and now it's time to face the music...or...drawing medium I guess.

It's all part of the process! Learning so much though :)

Love being an illustrator, it's a real privilege.

Please give me a shout if you fancy a chat, or have some proposals for May 2013 and onwards! I will be free as a bird and would love to get involved in some collaborations, travelling exhibitions and what not!
